Uncorked Kitchen -
Naturally being social and meeting new people is where I feel the most comfortable. When entering a new environment, moving (back) to Denver, and this time as a food blogger, meeting new people can be hard and a little unnerving. As a new and aspiring blogger, a fellow Austin friend and food blogger gave me some advice before I moved - get involved in any and all blogging events possible. Network, network, network.
Once all the boxes were unpacked and all the moving headaches subsided, I went in search of a blogging community to connect with. I stumbled upon the Denver Bloggers Club via meetup, and each meetup always involves some tasty food, but is also very informative in running a successful blog, and making connections with other bloggers in various stages of their blogging career.
This past weekend we had another inspiring get together hosted and sponsored by Uncorked Kitchen in Centennial, CO. Uncorked Kitchen is a trendy, fun and unique culinary experience to share as a couple or with a whole group of people. It's basically a culinary playground with a bar, and totally my kind of place. Uncorked kitchen provides beautiful fully-equipped kitchens for you to learn a variety of culinary techniques with a classically trained chef. The chef will walk you through the recipe from prepping your vegetables, proper cooking techniques and end with tips on plating your culinary masterpiece. Then you get to enjoy your creation on the beautiful communal table overlooking a breathtaking view of the mountains.
During our visit, Chef Albert Gonzales guided us as we prepared a delicious gluten free meal of butternut squash with a chili yogurt sauce and white wine braised chicken. We went through the prepping and cooking process together in four individual teams. Grab a glass of wine or a cocktail while waiting on your food to cook. While enjoying the meal we prepared, one of our fellow bloggers, Rachael Nichols from the Fond Life, shared some photography tips on shooting great food photos for our blogs and Instagram. It was a ton of fun getting to socialize with fellow food bloggers over our passion for food and cooking.
Uncorked Kitchen holds classes and events like culinary mastering skills, date nights and wine nights as well as private and corporate events. They also provide weekend family cooking classes and classes and camps for kids from ages 6-17.
A big thank you to the Denver Bloggers Club, The Fond Life and Uncorked Kitchen for such a fun gathering and a delicious meal!
